Indeed. That is precisely what inspired the creation of this program. As I say in orientation, it is important to learn why we do--have done--what we do the way we do it, how we got there, what are the roots (usually economic) of those process, products, norms, and tradition ... and then decide what it worth keeping and not. So it is important to learn journalism as it is done both so you can accomplish it and question it. We have faith in our students that they will take these lessons and then judge for themselves what should and should not be changed.
